Dear Eternity Midland Saints
I have been informed by the City of Swan that they have ceased all group activities across the Swan Active Locations until 30 April 2020 due to the Coronavirus COVID-19. Obviously, this means that we are unable to have our Church services there up to the end of April. This was unexpected as I had no warning from the centre that this was being discussed by the City of Swan. However, the situation regarding COVID-19 is evolving very quickly and I perfectly understanding their decision to assist the wider community in reducing the spread of Coronavirus, the health and wellbeing of the public that use the centre and staff members.
I want to make it very clear that this doesn’t mean that the Eternity Church Midland is closing. What it does mean for the foreseeable future, that Church is going to be very different and there are going to be challenges that we need to overcome as a congregation. For this week, unfortunately, due to the unexpectedness that the centre is ceasing all group activities I have nothing planned and I encourage you to spend time in the study of the word and in prayer.
I will be exploring over the next week options for setting up online services as I feel at this time with the ever evolving nature of this virus that we don’t meet as a group and connecting as a congregation to be done online as the best and safest option. While I appreciate this is going to be difficult, some of you may disagree and we could even lose people because of this, as the Pastor of this congregation there are times when difficult decisions need to be made and this is one of them. In addition the High Tea and Men’s Discipleship Breakfast will be postponed to a later date in the year. I will be updating you within the next few days of where we are in setting up an online service.
I am available for any spiritual needs that you may have, so please don’t hesitate to call me. I thank you for your understanding. I would encourage the Eternity Midland congregation to prayer every night from 7pm for half and hour to contend against this Coronavirus and see a miracle. This is water other Churches of the ACC are doing and other denominations. Church we need a miracle and we serve a God of Miracles, a God of Breakthrough.
1 Chronicles 14:10,11. 10 And David inquired of God, saying, “Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will You deliver them into my hand?” The Lord said to him, “Go up, for I will deliver them into your hand.” 11 So they went up to Baal Perazim, and David defeated them there. Then David said, “God has broken through my enemies by my hand like a breakthrough of water.” Therefore they called the name of that place [f]Baal Perazim. Ball Perazim is interpreted as, “Master of Breakthroughs.” That is the God that we serve.
So, join with me every night as we contend for God of breakthrough to defeat this coronavirus.
